Copyright law is an important means to protect creativity, both in traditional media - art, literature, jewelry and fabrics - and in more modern incarnations, such as computer software. We have specific experience in the registration of computer programs and software as well as the more traditional subjects of copyright protection including fabric design and text material. We have litigated a number of copyright cases including those involving software, jewelry designs and other artistic endeavors. And, we have extensive experience in international aspects of copyright - an important issue at a time when Congress and the courts have sought to harmonize U.S. copyright law with equivalent foreign laws and international copyright conventions.
